{"id":492,"date":"2019-04-05T05:00:52","date_gmt":"2019-04-05T10:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/crosslabyrinth.com\/JourneyNotes\/?p=492"},"modified":"2020-04-02T10:08:44","modified_gmt":"2020-04-02T15:08:44","slug":"492","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/crosslabyrinth.com\/JourneyNotes\/?p=492","title":{"rendered":"Detours&#8211;Paths of Destruction"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<audio id=\"wp_mep_1\" src=\"http:\/\/crosslabyrinth.com\/m4a\/Journey%20Notes%2031%20Detours-Paths%20of%20Destruction%20Accomp.m4a\"     controls=\"controls\" preload=\"none\"  >\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t<\/audio>\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\njQuery(document).ready(function($) {\r\n\t$('#wp_mep_1').mediaelementplayer({\r\n\t\tm:1\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t,features: ['playpause','current','progress','duration','volume','tracks','fullscreen']\r\n\t\t,audioWidth:,audioHeight:\r\n\t});\r\n});\r\n<\/script>\r\n\n<p>Paths to destruction are frequently very well marked.\u00a0 Despite the signs, though, those paths are amazingly well traveled.\u00a0 It makes no sense, but time and again we disregard warnings, hurtling toward our own demise.<\/p>\n<p>Many times we think that the safe path is not as well marked, but that really isn&#8217;t true.\u00a0 Compare it to a highway.\u00a0 The surface is paved and smooth.\u00a0 Lines are painted to show where to drive.\u00a0 The curves and inclines are designed to make the journey safe and comfortable.\u00a0 It road is even contoured to shed water.\u00a0 More time and resources were used in preparing the road than will ever be used for the warning signs.<\/p>\n<p>The same is true of the way that God has provided for us.\u00a0 The path is prepared and the lines are drawn.\u00a0 More was put into the plan of salvation than anything else.\u00a0 God gave his only begotten Son.\u00a0 All we have to do is follow the path&#8211;something more easily said than done, but more easily done when we remember that the paths of destruction are only detours.<\/p>\n<p>Choosing to follow the path to life has to be a conscious choice on every step of our journey to the foot of the cross.\u00a0 Daniel C.
