\"PathA journey has a beginning and an end.\u00a0 Both are essential in defining the journey, but the course between these points is equally important.\u00a0 There are many ways to describe the course.\u00a0 There can be distance on the ground or “as the crow flies.”\u00a0 There can be “smooth sailing” or “rough going.”\u00a0 If there is more than one route, there can be “the high road” and “the low road.”\u00a0 Robert Frost wrote of taking “the road less traveled.”\u00a0 If the course or the destination is new, it might be called “trail blazing.”\u00a0 Regardless of the description, though, the traveler always follows a path.<\/p>\n

The Hebrews leaving Egypt followed an unfamiliar path, but they were guided by God.\u00a0 The magi seeking the newborn Christ journeyed to unfamiliar places, but they were guided by a star.\u00a0 As Jesus’ years of ministry grew imminent, John the Baptist cried out in the wilderness the words of Isaiah, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.\u00a0 When Jesus spoke to the people He said, “I am the way.”\u00a0 Throughout history God has always provided a path.\u00a0 It is a single path that leads to life and blessing.\u00a0 It is the single path that we are called to walk today.<\/p>\n

Jesus is the one way that leads to the Father, and the Cross Labyrinth has only one path.\u00a0 Jesus’ path led to the cross and the resurrection, and the journey into the Cross Labyrinth leads to the cross and the celebration of Easter.<\/p>\n

The path to life has been prepared for us.\u00a0 God prepared it.\u00a0 The path to the foot of the cross is available to us.\u00a0 A path to follow.<\/p>\n
