{"id":288,"date":"2019-03-20T05:00:15","date_gmt":"2019-03-20T10:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/crosslabyrinth.com\/JourneyNotes\/?p=288"},"modified":"2020-04-02T10:09:07","modified_gmt":"2020-04-02T15:09:07","slug":"a-path-to-share","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/crosslabyrinth.com\/JourneyNotes\/?p=288","title":{"rendered":"A Path to Share"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<audio id=\"wp_mep_1\" src=\"http:\/\/crosslabyrinth.com\/m4a\/Journey%20Notes%2015%20A%20Path%20to%20Share%20Accomp.m4a\"     controls=\"controls\" preload=\"none\"  >\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t<\/audio>\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\njQuery(document).ready(function($) {\r\n\t$('#wp_mep_1').mediaelementplayer({\r\n\t\tm:1\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t,features: ['playpause','current','progress','duration','volume','tracks','fullscreen']\r\n\t\t,audioWidth:,audioHeight:\r\n\t});\r\n});\r\n<\/script>\r\n\n<p>We are on a journey to the foot of the cross.\u00a0 Although this journey may be a unique experience <em>for<\/em> us as individuals, the journey itself is not unique <em>to<\/em> us.\u00a0 Other pilgrims have gone <em>before<\/em> us.\u00a0 More will follow <em>behind<\/em> us.\u00a0 But today is what we have right now, and today other pilgrims are traveling <em>with<\/em> us.<\/p>\n<p>With all of these other pilgrims on the journey, we need to learn to manage relationships.\u00a0 Some pilgrims will influence us.\u00a0 We will influence some of them.\u00a0 Sometimes in good ways.\u00a0 Sometimes not so good.<\/p>\n<p>Cain had problems with relationships.\u00a0 His relationship with Abel was murderous.\u00a0 His relationship with his parents wasn&#8217;t even mentioned.\u00a0 The key to it all, though, was his weak relationship with God.\u00a0 When God first approached Cain about his unhappiness, Cain did not even respond.\u00a0 Had he listened and spoken with God, it would have affected all of his other relationships.\u00a0 By shutting God out of his life, Cain doomed himself to life without the love and joy and happiness that only God can bring.<\/p>\n<p>The same is true for each of us.\u00a0 We must look to God and listen to God.\u00a0 When that relationship is right, the rest of our relationships can be good.<\/p>\n<p>Charles Wesley wrote <em>Jesus, Lord, We Look to Thee<\/em>.\u00a0 Line by line and verse by verse, the hymn lays out the ways that our relationship with God shapes our lives and the ways that we can interact with others around us in a spirit of Christian love and fellowship.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Let us for each other care,<br \/>\neach the other&#8217;s burdens bear;<br \/>\nto thy church the pattern give,<br \/>\nshow how true believers live.<\/p>\n<p>We are on a journey to the foot of the cross.\u00a0 It is a path we share with so many others.\u00a0 Where can we look except to Jesus?\u00a0 Look to Jesus and find God&#8217;s love.\u00a0 Then share that love along the way.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Jesus, Lord, We Look to Thee\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/w83C-bFMt_M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
