{"id":26,"date":"2009-10-26T00:00:21","date_gmt":"2009-10-26T05:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/crosslabyrinth.com\/JourneyNotes\/?p=26"},"modified":"2020-04-02T10:09:31","modified_gmt":"2020-04-02T15:09:31","slug":"point-of-entry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/crosslabyrinth.com\/JourneyNotes\/?p=26","title":{"rendered":"Point of Entry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.CrossLabyrinth.com\/JourneyNotes\/PointOfEntry.jpg\" alt=\"Point of entry\" align=\"right\" \/>There is something important and special about doors and entryways.\u00a0 They are placed to help us reach a destination.\u00a0 They exist so that we can pass through them.\u00a0 We go through because of what is on the other side.<\/p>\n<p>The Psalmist understood this when he wrote, &#8220;Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.&#8221;\u00a0 (<em>Psalm 100:5<\/em>)\u00a0 Entering through God&#8217;s gate leads to a place of thanksgiving, praise, and blessing.\u00a0 Jesus tried to help us understand it more when He instructed, &#8220;Enter in at the strait gate: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.&#8221;\u00a0 (<em>Matthew 7:13a, 14<\/em>)\u00a0 To avoid any confusion, Jesus explained further, &#8220;I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.&#8221; (<em>John 10:9<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>Jesus Christ is the door and the only entrance to life eternal.\u00a0 Similarly, on our pilgrim journey into the Cross Labyrinth, there is only one entrance.\u00a0 We can know that there is a path and we can even know that it leads to the cross, but we cannot walk the path or find the cross unless we come in through the entrance.<\/p>\n<p>When we know the point of entry for our journey, we can take our first step with confidence. \u00a0 It doesn&#8217;t mean that we know all of the twists and turns that the road will bring.\u00a0  It doesn&#8217;t mean that we know the challenges and blessings that wait at our destination.\u00a0 But on this journey, it does mean that we know our goal, and we know that this step can take us there.<\/p>\n<p><big>Follow the Path!<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><em>CARadke<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/big><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Join us on <a title=\"Order your copy of A Labyrinth Pilgrimage today!\" href=\"https:\/\/www.createspace.com\/3366946\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>A Labyrinth Pilgrimage<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There is something important and special about doors and entryways.\u00a0 They are placed to help us reach a destination.\u00a0 They exist so that we can pass through them.\u00a0 We go through because of what is on the other side.
