{"id":225,"date":"2019-03-14T05:00:34","date_gmt":"2019-03-14T10:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/crosslabyrinth.com\/JourneyNotes\/?p=225"},"modified":"2020-04-02T10:09:08","modified_gmt":"2020-04-02T15:09:08","slug":"loved-in-every-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/crosslabyrinth.com\/JourneyNotes\/?p=225","title":{"rendered":"Loved in Every Way"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<audio id=\"wp_mep_1\" src=\"http:\/\/crosslabyrinth.com\/m4a\/Journey%20Notes%2009%20Loved%20in%20Every%20Way%20Accomp.m4a\"     controls=\"controls\" preload=\"none\"  >\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t<\/audio>\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\njQuery(document).ready(function($) {\r\n\t$('#wp_mep_1').mediaelementplayer({\r\n\t\tm:1\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t,features: ['playpause','current','progress','duration','volume','tracks','fullscreen']\r\n\t\t,audioWidth:,audioHeight:\r\n\t});\r\n});\r\n<\/script>\r\n\n<p>God loves us, and it shows.\u00a0 From the beauty of creation, to eternal life through the gift of the Son, to the companionship that we find in fellowship with one another, God provides evidence of His love all around us.\u00a0 We deserve nothing, but we receive everything.<\/p>\n<p>God demonstrates His love not only through bounty and blessing, but through warning and protection.\u00a0 God did not warn Adam and Eve about the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden so that they could be punished, but to help them avoid the harm that comes from disobedience and separation.\u00a0 When the crafty serpent twisted God&#8217;s warnings, though, Eve lost her way and Adam joined right in.<\/p>\n<p>We can enjoy a path of greater blessing if we will simply maintain our focus on God, listen to His words, and accept His protection.\u00a0 Charles Wesley was one of the most prolific hymn writers of all time, outpaced only by Fanny Crosby.\u00a0 The story is told that one day as he was preaching in the fields he was attacked by a group of men who disapproved of his doctrines.\u00a0 He ran for his life and was provided a hiding place beneath a hedge near a stream.\u00a0 He penned the words to <em>Jesus, Lover of My Soul<\/em> as he sat in hiding, experiencing the protection provided by God.\u00a0 Ponder the loving protection of your Lord as you read the words of the first verse:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Jesus, lover of my soul,<br \/>\nlet me to thy bosom fly,<br \/>\nwhile the nearer waters roll,<br \/>\nwhile the tempest still is high.<br \/>\nHide me, O my Savior, hide,<br \/>\ntill the storm of life is past;<br \/>\nsafe into the haven guide;<br \/>\nO receive my soul at last.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you are enjoying God&#8217;s bounty, heeding His warnings, or receiving His protections, know that Jesus loves you.\u00a0 He loves your very soul.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Jesus, Lover of My Soul (United Methodist Hymnal #479)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8d1vshYqTVo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
